Updates and Information

I hope you are all well.

We have had a very successful start to the term with enthusiastic students and staff and very few absences so far! It has been lovely to welcome old and new students back to Tozer and enjoy some genuine kind of ‘normal’ which we hope will continue.

As a reminder please do not send your child if they have a positive lateral flow test or a member of the family tests positive for Covid. Some of our students are double jabbed and may attend if they have a negative lateral flow test.

Please continue to follow any safety guidelines for Covid and we will maintain reviewing our risk assessments as the winter season draws nearer and inevitable changes will arise. We remain hopeful that we can continue with little disruption to the training of our students.

Attendance
We pride ourselves on our standards and quality training at Tozer and we politely stress that continued attendance is extremely important during the term. We have sufficient holidays and ask that unless illness or very special occasions come along, we appreciate full attendance.
This is always taken into consideration for exams and show number selections.

Tozer Show 2022
As we approach our long awaited show next year on April 30th/May 1st with many rehearsals beforehand, please do not over commit during the spring term as this will directly affect the show numbers.
We all work as a team and this will be a wonderful opportunity for the students to be together on stage with a live audience!

Chaperones
We will need chaperones for the show.
If any parents already hold a chaperone license please check that it is valid through to the end of the show next year and anyone who wishes to chaperone and wants to get license please email in for advice on how to do this.

Exams this term
We have Ballet, Modern/Tap exams this November and those invited to take their exam will receive their consent forms within the next few weeks.
Exam coaching will be notified at the same time.

2021 Graduates
During the summer we celebrated our most successful number of graduates ever moving onto top vocational art schools and colleges; Laine Theatre Arts, Mountview Drama Academy, Arts Educational School, Bird College and Elmhurst Ballet School. We wish them every success and can’t wait to hear how their dance and Musical theatre journey continues to grow. To see the students profile and success please follow us on Instagram.

We are also very proud to share the news that one of our former students Sam Holden will be appearing in the amazing Musical ‘White Christmas’ UK tour this Autumn choreographed by Stephen Mear CBE (credits include ‘Mary Poppins’ – West End/‘Scrooge’ – Curve Leicester/’Little Mermaid’- Broadway).
Sam will be back with us this week at the studio to teach a workshop/audition class with the seniors in readiness for the show.

Have a good week and stay well.
Miss Haynes
