Latest News And Update 11th February

Dear Parents,

I hope you are all well.

Thank you to all our students, we have had an excellent first half to our Spring term.

The progress our students have made in maintaining the discipline, technique and working hard during exam preparation has certainly impressed us.
We are looking forward to further preparing the students for their exams and performances when we resume after the half term break.

Ballet Exam Coaching begins after half term so please check the notifications handed out with the exam consent forms so you are ready for the sessions. If you need any reminders please get in touch.

Hardings Dancewear
We have been fortunate to secure a date for Tracy from Hardings Dancewear to visit the studios and supply parents with Ballet exam uniform. Tracy will be at the studio from 9.30am on Sunday 5th March in Studio 2.
You will be able to purchase (order if stock is unavailable on the day) in readiness for the exam dress rehearsal later on in March.
A list of Ballet exam uniform will be advertised before the 5th March, but in the meantime there is a uniform list for each grade on the Tozer website.

Prize-giving
We will be holding our annual Prize-giving event on Sunday 23rd April at 2pm
All vocal groups will be performing and will be required for this event.
This is always well attended by our families so please save the date so we can enjoy & publicly share the achievements of our talented pupils.
Trophies (engraved and cleaned) will need to be returned to the studio by 29th March before we break for Easter Holidays.

Modern/tap Exams
Details of these exams will be advertiesed soon.
The date for the exam will be mid May – as soon as we have the date confirmed details will follow.

Shout Outs
We have several shout outs this week.

  • Mrs Burnett would like a shout out to her Monday Pointe work Class for their determination to succeed with some challenging steps – Well done!
  • We would like to shout out both Grade 2 Tap classes for their excellent recall & corrections from the previous week & showing progress & improvement.
  • Mrs Burnett would like a shout out to Sophie Killingworth for her independent practise during her modern class.

Keep up the good work everyone!

Class Uniform
If your chid is wearing Ballet tights for classes on a Saturday, please make sure they are the convertible type so they can adapt to each class with their footwear or have barefeet when required.
A gentle reminder that any jewellery should be left at home & not worn in class, hair must be in a Bun for Ballet classes and the appropriate uniform must be worn at all times. Thank you.

May I wish everyone a safe and happy half term.
Classes resume Monday 20th February.
