Happy New Year

All good wishes for a Happy New Year to everyone within our Tozer family. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a huge thank you for the lovely thoughtful Christmas gifts all the staff received.

Our new term begins on Monday 6th January and we are looking forward to another successful term ahead.

This term will be full on again and there are some important dates for your diaries:

Thursday February 13^th – ISTD Modern & Tap exams
Friday 20th March – RAD Ballet exams 
Assessments took place last term ready for the examination sessions this term. Those ready for exams will be notified with exam consent/exam fee letters during the first week back to lessons. Only those who have reached the required standard so far and attend the extra exam coaching lessons will be entered for the upcoming sessions.

Sunday 1^st March – Prize giving 
Our annual prize giving event will be on Sunday 1st March and will be held at the Create Theatre at West Notts College in Mansfield. We will have our Trophy and certificate presentations first followed by special performances from the students who will be sharing some of the work studied during the autumn and spring term. Everyone is welcome to join the event and details will follow during the term. If there is anyone unavailable to take part please advise us as soon as possible.
Trophies will need to be returned to Mrs Lynn by 1st February please.

Last term’s exam students
All those who took a ballet exam towards the end of the last term are now welcome to move up to the next grade as of the start of term. Results have not yet been received, but we expect them any day.
Music Theatre exam results will be distributed during the first week of term.

Mary Poppins – Prince Edward Theatre trip
For the next few months there is disruption to the LNER train timetable from Newark to London at the weekends so this trip will be arranged for later on into the term when access to London is shorter and easier.
Thank you to all who expressed interest in tickets. I will update you soon regarding a date and cost.

Reminders
Please continue to help us with the discipline and the code of conduct we expect at the school. Uniform and grooming are part of the training as we always try to keep up the standard of how our students behave and present themselves.

Attendance is fundamental to the progress of each student and missed lessons cannot be made up. Please keep absences to a minimum in the interest and fairness of all the pupils during term time. Exceptional circumstances are always considered if enough notice is courteously given.

Speed limits and safe parking in the car park remain, please continue to adhere to these regulations for safety of all.
