Latest News and Update the 9th June

Dear Parents,

I hope you are all well and have had a good half term break.

It was lovely to see the students back after a week off.
We have a busy term ahead with Music Theatre exams and preparations for Parent’s watching week towards the end of term for the Junior end of the school, followed by our Showcase for Grade 3- Senior level students on Saturday 15th July.

Pre-school/Junior school Parents watching week
The date for this event is Saturday 8th July.
We invite all parents of our Saturday morning classes to watch their children presenting their beautiful work from what they have learnt from their lessons this academic year.
Classes will run as normal with Parents welcome to join from 9am-1.30pm

Leaver’s/Summer Showcase
Saturday 15th July
We have a variety of fabulous work to share with Parents during our end of year showcase.
Grades 3 and up are all involved with this event on the last day of term in the afternoon along with performances from the all Jazz, Vocal & Streetdance classes.
As we normally do we will hold 2 performances-Times TBC
Both involve purchasing tickets which will be on sale very soon.
Please advise immediately if your child is unable to take part as our rehearsals have already started for the showcase and there is always a knock on effect if students drop out.

Shout out’s
This week during classes there have been 2 students who have shown extra diligence.
Mrs Hancock would like a shout out to Evelyn Wheat for her endeavour and commitment with her Jazz choreography work.
Mrs Burnett would like a shout out to Daisy Lynn who after recovering from a fractured toe has on her return to dancing applied everything she had learnt from observing her classes.
Well done to both girls!

Workshops and 1-2-1 classes during the summer break
We would like to offer some workshops for fun and fitness and 1-2-1 coaching lessons during the summer holidays.
As soon as we return in September we will be hitting the ground running with Ballet, Modern & Tap exams so those who want to maintain their technique in readiness for exams can have the opportunity to private coaching during the long break.
More details will be advised next week so those interested can sign up on the Notice board for the workshops.
The workshops and 1-2-1 coaching will only be available on certain days so booking early would be encouraged to avoid disappointment.
Look out for more details!

Important-Please make sure children are sent in with water whilst at the studios now the hot weather is upon us.

Tozer Show May 4th/5th 2024
When booking holidays next Spring, please note that we will be rehearsing for the show during the Easter break next year and would appreciate attendance for all show rehearsals.
We will not be rehearsing on the Easter weekend at the end of March, but we will be rehearsing the following days after Easter Monday (first week of April).
Please bare this in mind.

Enjoy a lovely weekend of sunshine!
