Weekly News and Info – 27 May

Thank you to everyone attending classes this week, we’ve had some lovely creative work going on in the studios in readiness for watching week and the Leaver’s showcase on 16th July.

Half term begins after classes tonight and we resume on Monday 6th June.

We have had number of new pupils involved in taster sessions over the last few weeks since becoming inspired by watching our show in Mansfield. We would like to welcome all new pupils to our Tozer family and to let you know how impressed all the staff have been with how you have all settled into our school. Please spread the word and invite your friends to take up any dance or vocal taster sessions at the studios or encourage them to get in touch and we can offer some classes to suit.

PRIZE GIVING
Due to Covid and show preparations we have not been able to host our annual Prize giving event which is when we celebrate the pupils’ achievements with certificates, trophies and awards.

We are thrilled to announce we can now do this in the studio on SUNDAY 3rd JULY at 4pm.
This will be a fantastic opportunity and Tozer tradition for all parents, staff and pupils to get together and share in the achievements of our talented students.

Please return your engraved trophies from our last event after half term in readiness for the Prize giving event.

All we ask is for your time for an hour or so and bring a plate of nibbles to share after the awards. Weather permitting hopefully we can enjoy some food and drink outside. This does take some planning so if you are unable to attend please let us know with a courtesy email.

Shout Out
This week our shout out goes to the students in the Inter Jazz/Grade 3 and 4 Modern class for learning 3 different choreography routines, for adapting to each style and practising away from the studio! Congratulations on your commitment to the tasks.

We also have a shout out to Miss Unitt who completed a 10k run last Sunday with ease.
Well done Miss Unitt and here’s to the next one!

Identical the Musical – Nottingham Playhouse
Sienna, Holly and Olivia had their costume fitting this week for Identical the Musical which they successfully auditioned for earlier this year. They will be performing in the show this summer at the Nottingham Playhouse.

As soon as I know which performances they are doing I will announce to everyone so you can book tickets to watch them.

Music Theatre exams are now confirmed for Wednesday 22nd June
The students are on track to produce some brilliant exam work and please use the half term to continue the vocal training, choreography and practise.

May I take this opportunity to wish you all a happy and safe half-term and enjoy the Jubilee celebrations!
